How did we get our start?
My brother and I got started working for our family's hardware store. We expanded online back in 2008 selling other brands' products. Then in 2018, we launched our own brand of products "612 Vermont".
What makes our products unique?
It depends on the product, but we are most known for our window candles that offer brighter lights, more esthetic designs, and in many cases patented lights.
What problem are we solving?
Our focus has been on improving the holiday products you have to choose where there typically has been little to no product evolution over the years.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this safer than burning a candle for ambient room lighting?
Yes — there is no open flame, no hot wax, no smoke, and no soot, so you get the same warm cozy glow without any fire risk, which is why many customers switch from candles to these strands.
Can I leave these plugged in overnight or while I am away from home?
Yes, the strand is UL listed for indoor use and is designed for unattended seasonal use, giving peace of mind for overnight or workday use when a candle would never be safe.
Is the cord and bulb temperature safe to touch, even after hours of use?
Incandescent mini bulbs do get warm to the touch during extended use but remain far below the temperature of an open flame, and the cord itself stays cool — both are safe for adult households, but bulbs should be kept out of reach of very young children who might touch and grab.
Will running 22 connected strands overload my outlet or circuit?
No — at 9.6W per strand, 22 connected sets draw 211W total, which is intentionally kept under the 216W safety limit, so you can run the maximum chain on a standard household circuit without tripping a breaker.
Is the plug safe to use in older outlets or extension cords?
The UL listed male/female end connector and standard 2-prong plug are designed for typical indoor outlets — for extension cords, use a UL listed indoor cord rated for the combined wattage of however many sets you connect.
How is this different from LED string lights from a safety standpoint?
Both are low-heat and safe, but incandescent mini bulbs give a warmer, more candlelike glow without the blue or green tint that some LEDs produce, and the UL listing and end-to-end connectable design make it easy to scale up safely.
Are these safer than fairy lights with button-cell batteries?
Yes — plug-in strands eliminate the risk of children or pets chewing on or swallowing small coin-cell batteries, and the UL listed cord and connector are designed for safe, continuous indoor use.
Is this safe to use in a child's bedroom or nursery?
The strand is UL listed for indoor use and produces no flame, smoke, or fumes, but as with any corded light, the wire should be secured out of the crib or play area and plugged into a tamper-resistant outlet — many parents use it as a soothing nightlight across a curtain rod or shelf.
Is this safe around curtains, bedding, and other fabrics?
Incandescent mini bulbs are low-heat and have been used safely in bedroom and window decor for decades, but the strand should be kept clear of direct contact with flammable materials as a basic precaution, and you should never cover the bulbs with fabric.
Will this cause a fire if a single bulb burns out?
No — unlike older series-wired strings, modern mini light sets are designed so that one burned-out bulb does not create a fire hazard, and you can use this strand as a donor/replacement source for prelit trees and garlands.
Is this safer than a wax warmer or oil diffuser for nighttime use?
It is a different category — there is no heat element, no hot oil, and no fragrance chemicals involved, so it is a cleaner-air, lower-risk option for a bedroom or nursery where you want ambient light without added scents or heated components.
I am worried about my cat or dog chewing the cord — is there a safe way to use this in a pet household?
Route the cord along baseboards, behind furniture, or through cord covers, and unplug when you are not home — the low-wattage 9.6W draw means even a partial chew is unlikely to cause a serious hazard, but prevention is always best with curious pets.
I am sensitive to scents and smoke — is this a clean-air option?
Yes — there is no combustion, no fragrance, and no volatile compounds released, so it is a clean-air alternative to scented candles, incense, or essential oil diffusers for ambient mood lighting.
What happens if a bulb breaks — is there any safety risk?
Mini incandescent bulbs are small and low-pressure, and while you should unplug the strand before replacing a bulb, a broken bulb does not pose the same sharp-glass or chemical risk as larger bulbs and is easy to clear away safely.
Is the plug polarized and grounded for safety?
The strand uses a standard 2-prong plug designed for typical indoor outlets — it is UL listed for safe indoor use, but if you need a grounded 3-prong setup you would want to verify your specific outlet configuration before purchase.
How do I connect multiple strands end-to-end?
Each strand has a male/female end connector on the single plug end — simply plug the male connector of one strand into the female connector of the next. You can connect up to 22 sets (max 216W combined load) on a single outlet.
Can I replace individual bulbs if one burns out?
Yes — these strands are commonly used as donor/replacement sources for prelit Christmas trees and garlands. Replacement mini bulbs of the same voltage can be swapped in, and the rest of the strand will continue to work even if one bulb is out.
Can I use these outdoors or in a covered porch?
No — this product is UL approved for indoor use only. For outdoor or covered-porch applications you would need a strand specifically rated for outdoor or wet-location use.
Will these work with my existing prelit tree or garland as a replacement strand?
Yes, this is one of the most common uses — the 20-bulb mini incandescent strand matches the bulb type, spacing, and voltage of most prelit trees and garlands, and the brown wire is a popular upgrade for anyone replacing a burnt-out section.
What is the difference between the 20-bulb and 35-bulb versions?
The 20-bulb version has a 5-foot lighted length with 6-foot total length, and the 35-bulb version has a 9-foot lighted length with 10-foot total length — both use the same brown wire, mini incandescent bulbs, and end-to-end connector, so you can mix versions on the same chain up to the 216W limit.
What is in the box when I order this?
You will receive one strand of 20 (or 35) clear incandescent mini bulbs pre-strung on brown wire with a 1-foot lead and an end-to-end connector — no bulbs, batteries, or extra accessories are required, and the strand is ready to plug in and use immediately.
Are incandescent mini bulbs dimmer than LED mini lights?
Incandescent bulbs produce a softer, warmer glow than typical LEDs, and use more energy per bulb — but the trade-off is the warm tone, no green or blue tint, and the classic look that many decorators prefer, especially for craft projects and vintage-style decor.
How long do incandescent mini bulbs typically last?
Customers report using these strands for multiple holiday seasons without issues — incandescent mini bulbs are rated for thousands of hours of use, and because the strand is connectable and bulbs are individually replaceable, the strand can be maintained for years rather than thrown out at the first failure.
What is the difference between brown wire string lights and copper wire fairy lights?
Brown wire string lights are plug-in, UL listed, incandescent, and end-to-end connectable for larger displays, while copper wire fairy lights are typically battery-operated, shorter, and used for delicate crafts — the brown wire is also more visible than ultra-thin copper but far more discreet than standard green Christmas wire.
